This study’s main objective is to make a master plan for the potential development of underground deep rock caverns for industrial usages in Singapore since most of existing underground facilities are located relatively shallow in soil strata only.

The scope of the study includes review the overall geology and rock formations of Singapore, establish a master plan for the overall development of rock caverns based on the good rock formation distribution in Singapore, conduct cost estimates of the development, and finally make recommendations on further follow studies & site investigations.
