Two-thirds of Singapore’s land area is used as water catchment. Rainwater that falls on these areas is collected through a network of drains, canals and rivers, and channelled to the 17 reservoirs as a source of water supply.
The amount of rainwater falls is measured with our Rain Gauge monitoring system and the volume of water flow from the up-stream to down-stream is measured with our flow monitoring system. These two types of is system is a real-time environmental monitoring system for provision of hydrometeorological and hydrometric services for stormwater management in Singapore.
The hydrometric (Reservoir Level) station is deployed each at all 17 reservoirs for monitoring the real-time water level of the reservoir.
A comprehensive Water Quality Profiler is a fully automated platform designed for measuring vertical column of water qualities in reservoir.
All the hydrometeorological and hydrometric as well as water quality profiler are fully automated, self-power and equipped with automated real-time alert system
